2015 Cannondale Prophet

I decided that after a year of riding the white XL Cannondale Prophet that I built it was time to go back to a Large frame. The xl didn’t really do much for me. At the end of the day I think from my BMX years that I prefer a smaller frame than what may be sized for me. I ended up buying a Large 2005 Cannondale Prophet 1000. The frame was in good shape and the bike came with a seat dropper and a carbon lefty. In my opinion it was a freaking steal. I was surprised the guy let it go for $500. The seat dropper alone is more than half that price.

None-the-less I ended up getting this one powder coated at a place in West Sacramento called “All American Powder Coating” They did a great job and helped search around to find the color I wanted without costing me $500. I ended up paying $310 to get it done.

I decided to go 1×10 and used a 38T chain ring up front. I was hesitant to do this but have successfully done a few rides with it so am over my anxiety about it possibly being too hard to climb with. I did purchase a OneUp conversion kit for the rear cassette so I have a 42T in the rear to make climbing a little easier. Aside from not being completely stoked about having to run the bike in XC mode with the 650b wheels I’m really happy with the bike.
