On the run again

It seems as though every summer my fitness schedule falls to the wayside and having fun in the sun takes the drivers seat. Historically it’s September that I normally kick myself in the ass and get back into the stride of things. However this summer hasn’t been plagued by my lack of motivation but more so by my over abundance of injuries. I’ve fractured a toe, pulled a quad, tore the same quad, got a ridiculous blister that kept me from running, and wrapped it up with broken ribs. Apparently, I’ve been playing to hard. So today I made my way back into my running shoes. According to my Nike Plus I haven’t ran since July 20th which I did 2 miles at an 8:30 pace. I’m pretty sure that was the run after I pulled my quad, and the same day I tore it. I was pushing the injury to hard. I tried to go back to my normal running schedule and after a few days and softball that night my body showed my mind that it’s not always just about determination. So, back to today. I ran two miles at a 10 min pace and walked a mile of cool-down afterwards. My mind tried to talk me into pushing on for the third mile, however, I just reminded myself that I need to take things easy. I’ll keep ya posted on my progress.

New Theme

After watching “The Social Network” last night I decided I needed to take a few mins. to update my blog. It’s been forever and a day since I’ve written anything on here and quite frankly Facebook has basically killed my blog. LOL, not intentionally. Basically since I started using facebook I typically update my status there instead of on my site. Then I would post my longer rants here and have them set to write to Facebook by using the RSS feed import. Anyways, somewhere along the line I would want to post things on my blog but possibly didn’t want everyone on my facebook to read it. Then again there were instances where I wanted to post something that I didn’t neccessarily want the entire world to have access to. None-the-less here I am stuck with what is really a meaningless dilemma. So the theme that I’m currently running on my site is not made by me. Nor do I feel like creating a new one myself. I’m not feeling that inspired right now. That’s and easy week of my messing around with code and creating graphics that I really am just not motivated to do right now. However the old theme I never really liked. It was just something I put up for the time because my older theme was broken by an update. Either way the other two posts that just recently went up were in my drafts…so I figured I might as well publish them. I am planning on more actively writting here again. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Here I am

So I sit here and watch the words I type flow out of my hands like they are in control of what my mind just doesn’t have a grip on. I watch things that I don’t think flowing like a river out of somewhere deep inside. It’s funny I can sit here and have no idea what is coming next. It’s like I’m watching exactly what you are reading happening. What’s next? Is it what happened in my day. I don’t know…I just keep reading what’s on the screen like you do. Are you bored yet? LOL

Have I ever told you that I want to write a book. It’s funny, because I go through many different itterations of what I’d like to write about. I have a suspense thriller bottled up in there. A drama, and maybe even a screenplay. It is what it is. Which is probably nothing. I’ve started a few different times but it seems like I don’t get more than a few chapters until life gets to busy for me to finish. That catches up with me from time to time. I really enjoy writing and have been told that I’m pretty good at it. Of course…..anyone in front of you reading what you wrote is pretty much compelled to tell you that what they read is good whether or not they truly feel that way.

I think it’s just fun to put things in black and white and let them decide what they think it really means. That was/is one of my favorite parts of writing and listening to music.
