This video is just sick.  Everytime I see one of these trials videos it makes me want to go out and break some bones!

Sunny Interview

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I found an interview that the three creators of, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” did.  It is hilarious and just affirms that these guys are pretty damn close to the characters that they play in the show.  Check it out: Here

Sounds like Sublime

Ballyhoo!I was listening to Pandora this morning and heard a new band called Ballyhoo!. They sound a lot like Sublime. If you follow the link to thier site they’ve got about a cd’s worth of music on thier site. It’s pretty good. I wish they were coming to Sacramento. Unfortunately the closest city is Livermore or Santa Rosa. The Livermore gig is on a Saturday….so who knows. I think this would be a fun band to see. Check out the site and listen to a few songs. Really catchy like the first time I listened to Sublime.

MySpace Crossposter

This is a test of my MySpace Crossposter.  Basically if this works correctly when I post here it should make a blog entry on Myspace.  So here goes nothing and we’ll see how it pans out.

*Update – This didn’t work.  It looks like this addin is pretty old and from what I’ve read the creator has stopped updating it.  I’ll keep an eye out for other apps like this.

Facebook and Myspace integration

I’m working on getting some plugins installed to make posts to Myspace and Facebook automatically when I post here.  So I’ll work on personalizing the site a little more and fixing the broken pictures from the old posts here shortly.

Today I signed into Facebook and had a message from Adam Hupp the developer for the Facebook Connect app.  First off, I must say I was really suprised to see that, and stoked because the message said they worked out my problem with the new version 1.1.1!  This is yet another reason why Facebook is better than Myspace.

I deactivated the old version, deleted the folder off of the server, and uploaded the new plugin.  After that it worked just like it’s supposed to.

Moving to WordPress

For years I’ve been using Moveabletype for my blog.   I recommended WordPress to a coworker a couple of years ago because of it’s ease of use and large number of themes.  He didn’t really like to design but wanted a cool site.  WordPress seemed like the right ticket for him.  I never switched because I was fine with Moveabletype and I had recently skinned my site myself.   I like to design so pre-made themes don’t really have much value to me.  Recently I decided to install WordPress on a site I was working on for someone else.  In developing the site I was amazed how many useable plugins there are as well as how easy it is to implement new widgets.  The software seems to be a lot faster and I think I’m going to redo my site with the WordPress software soon.

The Last Barman Poet

For one reason or another the poem from the movie Cocktail popped into my head.  Thanks to google I could fill in the blanks of the few lines I couldn’t remember.  So next time you’re at the bar and you want to get a chuckle out of a few people or show everyone your mad g33k skillz try this one:

Last Barman Poet

I am the last barman poet.
I see America drinking the fabulous cocktails I make.
Americans getting stinky on something I stir or shake.
The sex on the beach, the schnapps made from peach,
The Velvet Hammer,
the Al-La-Bam-A Slam-a!

I make things with juice and froth: the Pink Squirrel, the 3-Toed Sloth. I make drinks so sweet and snazzy:
The Iced Tea, The Kamikaze, The Orgasm, The Death Spasm,
The Singapore Sling, The Dingaling.

America you’ve just been devoted to every flavor I got.
But if you want to got loaded,
why don’t you just order a shot?
Bar is open.

3D Desktops

This is pretty slick.  I”m not sure if it will catch on…but it is really slick.
